The tech called to see if they could come early which was perfect for me. The error was caused by a clogged drain line and the tech showed me how to clear the blockage in case it happened again in the future. He was very courteous and kept the work area clean
Arrived on site ac is older than 2012. Has lots of water on the floor and system hasn’t been cooling correctly ever sense they moved in. Downstairs removed filter can still see light through it but it is needing to be replaced. Removed. Checked for ice on the coil couldn’t see any but it’s uncased so hard to get into. Outside gauged up to the 2009 Concord system. R410a , system refrigerant is correct. Now we are dealing with a water leak. Used inspection scope to see if coil drain pan has standing water it is all cleared out. This tells me that the drainage pipes are okay and that we have a hole somewhere on the uncased coil.
Customer wants to add refrigerant to the system, to get through and replace system. Scheduled install for Wednesday. Charged system to recommended superheat of 25. System is fully charged and ready for temporary cooling. At this time the house is 87 degrees it is going to take all day to fully cool it off.
Arrived on site customer has zone system. He noticed without the thermostat on the wall the fuses stay in tact. Worked great yesterday. Cycled on popped reset able fuse. Removed stat from wall to jump y-r manually and nothing happened downstairs. No voltage between y-c on board. Zone board is not sending voltage from thermostat to furnace.
Arrived on site system went down last night,Wires on the system is bad . Customer needs cooling upstairs I’m going to run wire from the system down the attic access out the bedroom window down to the system. This should provide temporary cooling for the health issues in the house
