I completed diagnostics and found the system low on R-22 and that is has a leak. I discuss the options with the customer repair/ replace. The client wants to refill the system. I advised him we will not warranty due t refund refrigerant charge if it leaks out. The system is operating upon departure.
I completed a Full Install of Carrier Electric Furnace FX4D (Up to 100,000 BTU) Honeywell T10 Programmable Thermostat; Carrier 15 SEER Heat Pump 25HBC5 (Up to 3 ton). The System is operational upon departure.
I completed the diagnostics and found a noise possibly coming from the compressor, pulling around 20A/25A. Fan motor at 1.24/1.6A, capacitor reading within specs. I gave the customer their options by being proactive and replace the system before it fails or repair. The client will wait.
I completed the CallBack and found System cooling perfectly. the system just couldn’t keep up with the upstairs. I had to latch system, 5th stage at 80F. I advised client to keep the fan on at all times. Lower the temp around bed time to help cool the upstairs. the filter needs replaced #213. The system is operational upon departure.
Scheduled maintenance cooling tune up on a Carrier air conditioner completed. I visually inspected the furnace. Checked voltage and amps. I inspected the evaporator coil. I checked the temperature difference across the coil. Checked refrigerant charge, voltages and amps. I rinsed the condenser coils with water. Cycled and monitored the system. Operating normally at this time.
I performed a diagnostic on a Concord gas furnace. I found that the circuit board was bad and needed replaced. I quoted the repair cost and also replacement cost for the whole unit. Waiting on customer's response on how to proceed.
I performed a tune up and safety check on an air conditioning unit and a gas furnace. I found no issues with either system and they are both operating within manufacturer's specifications.
